Mortality coverage

In the event of death due to accident, illness, or euthanasia for humane reasons,
reimbursement of the agreed value for the declared use.
An autopsy report is mandatory.

Exclusions: Voluntary or economic euthanasia, death due to lack of care or mistreatment.

Theft

In the event of theft and/or associated death, reimbursement of the agreed value.
A police report is mandatory.

Exclusions: Theft in Italy (coverage available with an additional premium), unexplained disappearances, or voluntary transfer of ownership.

Wobbler Syndrome

If your horse is diagnosed with Wobbler Syndrome of at least grade 3, and the condition is confirmed to be chronic and progressive, reimbursement of the agreed value.

Exclusions: Any other neurological conditions not involving spinal cord compression.

Repatriation costs

Covers the cost of transporting the horse back to its usual location following a vehicle breakdown or accident. Annual maximum limit of 500 €.

Post-mortem expenses

Coverage up to 500 € for costs related to autopsy and rendering.

Emergency lifesaving surgery

This coverage includes, with no deductible, the costs of immediate and urgent surgeries performed to save the horse’s life (e.g., colic surgery, fractures).
Eligible age at subscription: 6 months to 13 years
3 annual compensation limits: 5 500 €, 6 500 €, or 8 500 €

No waiting period or deductible

For eventing and jump races uses, only the 5 500 € and 6 500 € limits are available.

Accidents and Surgeries

Covers curative veterinary care following an accident or surgical operation.
Eligible age at subscription: 6 months to 13 years
Annual compensation limit: 3 000 €

No waiting period

Exclusions: Alternative treatments (osteopathy, laser therapy, etc.), routine care even if prescribed by a vet (deworming, vaccinations, farriery), chronic disease (emphysema, arthritis …), and comfort treatments without a declared incident (preventive injections, Gastrogard without confirmed ulcers …).
Reimbursement is limited to the horse’s declared value on the policy

Veterinary fees

Covers curative veterinary care following illness, accident, or surgery.
Eligible age at subscription: 6 months to 13 years
2 annual compensation limits: 3 500 € or 6 500 €

Waiting period: 30 days, except in cases of accident or colic surgery

Deductible: 15% per claim, with a minimum of 180 € in France and 450 € abroad

Exclusions: same as for accidents and surgery coverage.

Total and permanent Infertility

If the stallion becomes totally and permanently impotent, infertile, or unable to cover mares due to an accident, illness, or condition first diagnosed during the coverage period, compensation of the agreed value of the mortality clause.

Loss of use due to illness or accident

Compensation is paid if the horse becomes permanently unfit for its intended use due to illness, injury, or accident, when is not eligible for humane euthanasia.

Eligible age at subscription: 3 to 12 years

Coverage not available for: racehorses, professional or elite eventing horses (Pro, GP, Elite, As Poney), Western horses, leisure, or breeding horses.

Exclusions: permanent incapacity resulting from inability (whether or not due to behavioral issues) or wear and tear.

Loss of use due to accident

Compensation is paid if the horse becomes permanently unfit for its intended use due to an accident with visible external injury, when it is not eligible for humane euthanasia.

Eligible age at subscription: 3 to 12 years

Option not available for: same as above.

Exclusions: same as above.

Foster mare rental

Covers rental costs of a foster mare following the death of the insured broodmare, to raise the surviving foal.

Maximum compensation: 2 500 €

Exclusion: boarding and maintenance costs of the adoptive mare.

Your horse is insured for all sea, air, and road transport within the following countries:
France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Finland, Netherlands, Ireland, Italy, Iceland, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, United Kingdom, Sweden, Switzerland.
